We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which personal data we process when you use www.ecore7.com, including the customer portal at www.ecore7.com/mcx and the MCX Lab Demo, why we do it and what rights you have. It applies in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), as far as they apply to you.
1. Who is responsible
Responsible for the processing of your personal data (controller) is:

Calgary, Alberta, T3J 4L4, Canada
Phone +1 (403) 339-2545

2. Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our web server: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. We use this data to deliver the website, to keep it secure and to find errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Server logs are deleted after 90 days at the latest, unless a security incident must be investigated.
3. Google Fonts
Our pages use fonts provided by Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA). To display them, your browser connects to Google's servers, and Google receives your IP address and the page you are visiting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a uniform presentation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Contact form and e-mail
When you send us a request with the contact form or by e-mail, we process the data you give us – name, e-mail address, company, subject, the product you are interested in and your message – to answer your request and, where applicable, to prepare a quote. The form sends your request to us by e-mail. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). We keep this data for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless a contract follows or the law requires longer retention.
5. Customer portal and MCX Lab Demo
- Account: To give you access to the customer portal we store your user name, a protected (hashed) version of your password, and your company and contact details. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
- Access log: For security we record logins and page access in the portal with time and IP address. These records are deleted after 90 days at the latest.
- Session cookie: After you sign in, the portal sets one technically necessary cookie that keeps you signed in. It is deleted when you sign out or after the session expires. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- Demo: The MCX Lab Demo runs entirely in your browser. What you do in the demo – calls, messages, files you select, measurements – stays in your browser and is not sent to us. If you allow the demo to use your webcam, the picture is shown only in your browser and is neither recorded nor transmitted.
6. Who receives your data
We do not sell your data. Within eCoreSeven, only the people who need the data to answer you or to serve you as a customer have access to it. Our hosting and e-mail providers store data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We pass data to authorities only where the law requires it.
7. International transfers
eCoreSeven works from offices in Canada, the United Arab Emirates (Level 21, Al Habtoor Business Tower, Dubai Marina) and Tunisia (Parc Technologique El Ghazala, Route de Raoued Km 3,5, 2088 Ariana), so your data may be accessed from these countries. The European Commission has recognised Canada as providing an adequate level of data protection. For transfers to countries without such a decision we use the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission or another legally recognised safeguard.
8. Your rights
Within the limits of the applicable law you have the right to:
- get information about the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
- have incorrect data corrected and data deleted or its processing restricted;
- receive data you gave us in a common machine-readable format;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- withdraw a consent at any time with effect for the future;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the authority of your country of residence in the EU, the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
To use your rights, write to contact@ecore7.com.
9. Security
The website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in protected (hashed) form. We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
10. Children
Our website is directed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data of persons under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The version published on this page applies.
